INFO

The Australian National Busking Championships (ANBC) is now in it's sixth year.  The event is held in the picturesque town of Cooma The Capital of the Snowy Mountains in Southern NSW, as well as Regional Championships all around Australia.

The ANBC is a different sort of music festival for Australia.   The ANBC is a celebration of all styles of music because the Buskers who perform bring a huge variety of music to the event.

THE COMPETITION

Pre-registered Buskers are assigned special locations (Busking Hot Spots) at various times around the Central Business District of Cooma.  Roaming judges throughout the day select a number of Buskers to perform at the finals concert held in Centennial Park later that afternoon.  Battle rounds are then held and the judges and audience make their final decision on the winners.

SPECTATORS ARE FREE!

At the ANBC all the street entertainment is provided FREE of charge.  The audience can of course tip the busker if they wish.  All the wonderful entertainment is performed literally feet from the spectator.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE & BUSKER VOTES

The People's Choice Award sponsored by Rotary Club of Cooma is a chance for everyone to vote for their favourite Busker

Here's how it works...

2

You vote for your favourite Busker by placing your Busker Votes into their collection container be it hat/ guitar case etc
